In 2010, IFA HR announced that its site at 42nd Street and 10th Avenue in New York City would be transformed into a 669-room YOTEL. Opened in May 2011, YOTEL Times Square was the first YOTEL to open outside of an airport and is a part of Related Company’s 1.2 million square foot, 60 storey LEED-Silver complex which includes residential units and the Frank Gehry designed Signature Theatre.
The flagship property is designed by Rockwell Group of New York in collaboration with Softroom of London and features 12,000 sqft of dynamic and flexible zones ofentertainment space and the largest hotel outside terrace space of any hotel in New York. The hotel’s 669 cabins offer customers a beautifully designed flexible smart space to suit individual needs in which to relax, refresh,connect and sleep.
On the fourth floor is a restaurant, the stunning living room/outdoor terrace space, a deluxe lounge and bar with private meeting rooms, a gym, a flexible studio space for a range of events for guests, a lounge space for working or relaxing, workstations to catch up on e-mail or surf and elevators to the 19 floors of guest rooms .
